Investigative activity developed at the Varvito Geological Monument in Itu.

In this exciting adventure, students are invited to participate in the activity to unveil the mysteries of geological periods during glaciation, when the continents were in a different formation, giving rise to a monumental sedimentary geological formation slowly formed by sedimentation, called Varvito.

In an engaging and stimulating way, the itinerary offers a guiding line that directs students as protagonists of their own learning, providing conditions for the expression of skills and perceptions, considered in the closing dynamics and woven by trained educators within the ALEM IVIAN METHODOLOGY.

In addition to geological evidence, the activity also allows for the search for traces of past lives, recorded by evidence of tracks in the rocks of the park. It is in the ichnofossils of prehistoric benthic animals!

As learning elements, constructed using gamification structures, the itinerary starts from the geological/geomorphological history and brings situations to raise awareness about aspects of Natural Heritage, analyses and scientific observation, economic and productive dynamics of mining.
