The Amazon is one of the most extraordinary places on the planet — a true natural heritage of humanity. With the largest tropical rainforest in the world, it spans millions of square kilometres and is home to the greatest diversity of life ever recorded in a single biome. There are thousands of species of plants, animals, and microorganisms, many still unknown to science, coexisting in a delicate balance that sustains not only the region but the climate of the entire Earth.
Cut by an immense network of rivers — including the majestic Amazon River, the largest by volume in the world — the forest plays a fundamental role in rain production and the regulation of global temperatures. Its trees release large amounts of water vapour into the atmosphere, forming the so-called “flying rivers,” which carry moisture to various regions of South America.
In addition to its natural wealth, the Amazon is also a territory of great cultural diversity. Millions of people live in the region, including indigenous peoples and traditional communities that maintain ancestral knowledge, sustainable ways of life, and a deep respect for the forest.
Talking about the Amazon is talking about life, balance, and the future. Its preservation is essential not only for those who live in it but for the entire planet.
In this Community-Based Tourism itinerary, students live with riverside, indigenous, and extractive communities, learning about traditional ways of life, environmental preservation, biodiversity, and ancestral knowledge.
The forest becomes a living classroom, stimulating socio-environmental awareness, respect for cultural diversity, and reflection on the future of the planet. A transformative experience that connects science, culture, and global citizenship.

Important Notes
✅ MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION
According to Federal Law, it is MANDATORY for the student to have their:
- ORIGINAL ID CARD OR ORIGINAL DRIVER'S LICENSE OR ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE accompanied by another identification with name and photo (e.g., School ID) OR ORIGINAL PASSPORT. Authenticated copies are NOT accepted by law.
*Digital documents are also accepted, but there is a risk of the phone running out of battery or having issues, making access impossible.
** We remind you that we cannot delay departure, and without the student's ORIGINAL identity document, boarding will not be possible. **
✅MEDICATIONS AND HEALTH
- We request that medications be sent in a toiletry bag, properly labelled with the student's name, accompanied by usage instructions.
- Remember to register all continuous-use medications on the medical form and reinforce with your children that they should not offer medication to their peers.
- Any discomfort should be reported to the responsible guide.
- Those with Health Insurance must bring their insurance card.
We cannot medicate students; if they need to bring any medication, we advise that it be handed to the trip guide with instructions and prescription. *ATTENTION to the complete filling out of the Medical Form.
✅UNIFORM AND CLOTHING
- Wearing the uniform is mandatory throughout the trip, as it facilitates the identification of students. Remember to also send a complete change of clothes for any eventual needs.
- We suggest that students wear comfortable clothes, trainers or closed shoes, and bring a jacket, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a cap.
- Bring swimwear (swim trunks, bikini, or swimsuit), a pool towel, and flip-flops.
✅During the trip, the use of speakers or loudspeakers is not allowed, in respect of each student's choice. They may use headphones if they wish.
✅Water will be available on the bus. We suggest that students bring a water bottle.
✅We advise that students do not bring mobile phones and valuables, as they will be responsible for keeping them safe.
