Introduction

Founded in 1997, the Serra Verde Express Group is the largest receptive tourism company in the Curitiba region and the Paraná coast, along with BWT Tour Operator, present throughout Brazil and in three other countries. With all this experience, the company won the bidding for the concession of the Republic Train between Salto and Itu. Thus, the railway that connects two major historical attractions of the country was finally activated in December 2020. The result: a ride through the 19th century, inaugurated in the 21st century. So, how about going back in time and learning more about the history of our country? All aboard the Republic Train: a journey that takes us to the eve of the Convention of Itu, which took place on April 18, 1873. This historic event became the zero mark of the Proclamation of the Republic itself, in 1889. Therefore, the trip is a true journey through time, where students will be able to learn more about this very important period in national history.
