Introduction
ECO EDUCATION PROJECT AND SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES AT MAGIC GARDENS
LAND and WATER SPACE: we promote experiences related to biodiversity, agroecology, native stingless bees (meliponiculture), production and consumption of healthy food, and techniques of organic farming. By choosing this space, we will emphasize one activity from the following options: experiences
in the agroecological garden; meliponary; agroforestry orchard; herb spiral; honey gardens; sensory gardens; greenhouse and seedling nursery. In addition, we raise participants' awareness about the water issue and the importance of this resource through experiences about the hydrological cycle and conscious water use. The space contains a rainwater harvesting system, rain gardens where participants can closely learn about these structures, their advantages and benefits, and become multipliers of such technologies.
ENERGY SPACE: we promote experiences related to renewable and sustainable energies, techniques for obtaining clean energy, and conscious energy consumption. By choosing this pedagogical space, we will visit the solar energy collection site (photovoltaic panels) and carry out practical activities with sustainable cooking technologies (dehydrator and solar stoves).
WASTE SPACE: contains a recycling waste sorting center, a shredder for composting prunings, and an exhibition of sustainable materials (material library), displayed for participant interaction. In this space, we work on theoretical and practical activities related to sustainable consumption, environmental policies, 5 Rs (rethink, reduce, refuse, reuse, and recycle), proper waste disposal, composting, and the life cycle of materials.
FOREST SPACE: through the Sequential Learning method, we stimulate experiences with nature, progressively more sensitive activities to deep experiences, in a gradual and directed manner, providing genuinely positive experiences with nature. In addition, we carry out theoretical and practical activities on the importance of conserving forest and animal species.
