PORTINARI HOUSE MUSEUM
The former residence of Candido Portinari, in Brodowski, the Portinari House Museum, an institution of the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, represents the strong connection of the artist with his homeland, origins, and family ties. It is the place where he conducted his experiments with mural paintings and deepened his technique over the years. Due to the various mural paintings on the walls of the house and in a chapel in the gardens of the residence, the preservation of the complex has become essential. The complex consists of a main house and annexes built in successive expansions. The typical simplicity of the interior is the museum's greatest characteristic.
